WoodeBee / About
WordPress, written so the next person can edit it.
I am the WordPress developer behind WoodeBee. I take jobs on marketplaces because that is where the work is, then I build them the way I would want to inherit them six months later. This page is how that actually goes, before you send a brief.
What I am good at
The same work that shows up on the services page, done so a client can edit it later without a tour.
01
Themes and Elementor
Custom themes when the layout should stay put. Elementor when you will keep changing the pages. Headers, footers, and mega menus live in the builder, not in a second plugin.
02
WooCommerce
Catalogs, checkout fields, and the boring failures: a required field that does not fit a phone, a shipping method that vanishes for one postcode.
03
Fixes and speed
Broken layouts after an update, plugin conflicts, and the slow hero image. I find the cause and apply the smallest fix that holds.
04
The handoff
Staging first. You review. Then we go live. You get a screen recording of how it works, and code another developer can open without me on the call.
What I will not do
No rank promises
I will not promise a Google ranking. I will set the page up so a person and a search engine can read it. The ranking is not a line item.
No plugin piles
I will not install twenty plugins to fake one feature. If a plugin is the wrong tool, I say so before I start.
No Friday-night pushes
I will not push to production on a Friday night without a backup and a way back. You review on staging. Then we go live.
How a job starts
Marketplace briefs are often one paragraph. That is enough for a conversation. It is not a contract. This is the path before any of us starts building.
01
You send the live URL, staging if you have it, and the brief.
02
I reply with what I will do, what I will not do, and a timeline.
03
We agree on revisions before I start.
04
You review on staging. Then we go live.
Send the URL, the job, and the deadline.
I reply with a scope, or a no if the job is not a fit. Screenshots help more than adjectives.
