A WooCommerce checkout checklist before you go live

Shops fail in boring ways: a required field that does not fit a phone, a shipping method that vanishes for one postcode, a payment plugin that still says “place order” after the bank already charged the card.

Run this on staging

• Guest checkout and logged-in checkout.
• A product with a sale price, a variable product, and a product that is out of stock.
• Mobile, with the keyboard open on the email field.
• Failed payment, then a successful one. Confirm the order email.
• Coupons that should stack, and coupons that should not.

If you only tested “add to cart → pay with a test card on desktop,” you have not tested checkout.
